Geology Interclass Control Cricket Tournament

Department of Geology in collaboration with Nebula club had organized an interclass controlled cricket tournament on 20 November 2021 between 2 00 pm to 5.00 pm, near the futsal court. The participating teams were Third Year (TY), Second Year (SY), and First Year(FY) students of the department. In the first match played between the SY and TY students. SY students won the toss and decided to do fielding. The TY students won the first match in spite of an excellent performance by the SY students.  Multiple matches were played in a round league format to decide the finalists. Each match consisted of 6 overs. At the end of the league, the FY and TY students were declared the finalists. In the finals, FY’s won the toss and decided to do fielding. In the meanwhile the weather turned bad as it was raining heavily but still, players decided to play and the match continued. The rains affected the hard hitter in the batting lineup of the TY as they managed to score only 31 runs in the finals...

Minerals day celebrated in the Department of Geology

Club nebulites, Department of Geology organized “Minerals day 2021” on 13/11/2021. The objective of the event was to spread awareness and appreciation of minerals in day-to-day life. The faculty of the department organized three competitions based on the theme, the events were 1. Minerals Poster Competition, 2. Introduce a mineral (presentation), 3. Minerals Quiz. The students were divided into 4 teams with each team comprising of students of the First, second and third year, the team were: 1. Orthoclase, 2. Sparkles, 3. Relicts 4. Meteorite. All the students showed great enthusiasm and bonding to participate in all three events. The students also organized a mineral exhibition and Poster presentation in the corridor of the campus which was open for all the faculty and students of the college, the students received many curious visits from the faculty and students of the various departments in the college and were very happy to share their knowledge with others.
