Department of Geology Conducts 6 Day’s QGIS Training
The Department of Geology conducted a Six-Day Short Term Training Program on QGIS, a Curated programme for the technical staff of the Directorate of Settlement and Land Records, Panaji-Goa from 31-1-2022 to 5-2-2022. The course was attended by 9 technical staff of the Directorate of Settlement and Land Records. The objectives of the course were as follows To impart QGIS training in Spatial data visualization techniques Creating Geospatial datasets Raster and Vector data analysis Visual Image interpretation Accessing open-source data Terrain analysis Field data collection The course was designed to be completely hands-on training with just enough theory to supplement learning. The participants were exposed to the power of open-source QGIS through curated exercises which were based on local datasets.
