Fossil day Celebrated in the Department of Geology

As a part of Azadi ka Amrut Mohotsav Club Nebula, the Department of Geology organized Fossil day on 27/11/2021 in the Department of Geology. 

The events for Fossil Day were 1. Poster Presentation 2. Fossil Clay Model making, 3. Dumb Charades. The topic for poster making was Fossil Geoheritage in India. Each team presented their understanding of the topic. Keshav presented first from team Meteorites, Followed by Relicts, Glorious, then sparkles, Relicts secured first place in the event followed by sparkles in second place.

The second event was Model making where each team presented a model which was made before the event. The teachers inspected each model and questioned the groups about the same. The winners of this event were glorious, with sparkles once again securing second.

The third event was Dumb Charades. Where each team acted out a name of a fossil given to them with an elimination round there were only two teams left. After an intense competition between the teams, Sparkles came in with first place followed by Glorious. Hence cumulatively sparkles won the overall competition with glorious in second place, Relicts in third and Meteorites in 4th place.
